U.S. Forest Service will attempt prescribed burn in Davy Crockett National Forest

The Davy Crockett National Forest will attempt a 150-acre prescribed burn today in its Compartment 90. The burn is located North of Groveton between Highway 94 and  FM 3154(Possum Walk) in Trinity County.

The smoke will be traveling to the North crossing over FM 358 and eventually Highway 7 near Ratcliff. The smoke should be light and off of the ground at that time.
