Explosion near Fallujah injures six

A blast went off today near the troubled Iraqi city of Fallujah. A hospital official says six people were injured, including a child. Witnesses say a house was damaged by the explosion.

It's not clear what caused the blast.

A Marine spokesman says U.S. forces weren't engaged in any clashes in the region today. Since U.S. forces pulled out of Fallujah earlier this year, the military has used some long-distance strikes against insurgents in the city.
