No new information in Alto officer involved shooting

Posted: Updated:
LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) -

There is still little information available about the officer involved shooting in Alto last month that left Eric Griffin dead.

KTRE sent an open records request to the Texas Department of Public Safety requesting more information and now we are waiting to hear from the Texas Attorney General's office to see if we can get some more information about the investigation.

Although information is limited, we have learned from Cherokee County Sheriff's Department Captain John Raffield said there are no results from Griffin's autopsy yet.

Raffield says they are waiting on the toxicology report.

We will continue to search for details and keep you updated as information about this investigation becomes available.
