HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) -

The Hartford Police Department arrested a man after neighbors said he threatened to shoot up the building because he didn't want to pay his rent.

The unidentified man made the threat at an apartment building on Eliot Street around 2 p.m. Police were able to arrest the man by 2:40 p.m.

The incident caused Hartford Public School officials to briefly lockdown Bulkeley High and Burr Elementary schools as a precaution.

No one was hurt during the incident.

It is unclear what charges the man will face.
