LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - Angel Baby loves to play and is full of energy.
She's a two-month-old blue Lacy and she was brought into the Angelina County Humane Society with her mom. But now she needs a home.
"Her momma was Angel," said Humane Society Director Paula Divello. "She was a blue Lacy that was dropped had been found very emaciated in real bad shape and this was her only puppy that made it."
Angel Baby is a survivor. Staff at the Humane Society thinks that her mom was trying to bury her puppies near a burn pile to keep them warm.
She's going to need a family that has a lot of time to spend with her and a lot of patience. She's going to need training and she loves to play, she has tons of energy and she'll need someone who has time to dedicate to play with her every day.
"She's going to need a family that gives her a job either with cattle or hunting or blood trailing or a very active family," Divello said. "One that walks and hikes and goes out all the time because she's going to be a bundle, a bundle of energy."
Angel Baby is expected to be about 35 to 40 pounds.
