Judge approves recommitment for student who killed ETX teacher

TYLER, TX (KLTV) -

Friday morning Smith County 114th District Judge Christi Kennedy approved an order to extend Byron Truvia's mental health services and evaluations.

 

Truvia was a student at John Tyler High School in Tyler in 2009 when he approached his teacher, Todd Henry and stabbed him in the classroom. Henry was taken to a local hospital, where he died from his wounds.
