ETX man and three dogs homeless after fire destroys home

GREGG COUNTY, TX (KLTV) -

An East Texas man is lucky to be alive after his home turns into an inferno.

It happened early Thursday morning at a trailer home in the 200-block of County Road 2123. This is just south of Lakeport in Gregg County.

Fire crews battled the blaze but the home was a total loss. The homeowner and his three dogs got out unharmed.

The fire is being blamed on a space heater.
