ETX man arrested after biting officer

LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) -

A parking violation leads to an East Texas man being arrested for assaulting a public servant.

57-year-old Derrick Conrad of Kilgore was arrested by Longview Police around 4:30 p.m. Friday.

The incident started when Conrad was charged with illegal parking. Police say he then began resisting arrest and bit one of the officers.

He was released from the Gregg County jail after posting more than $11-thousand dollars worth of bonds.
