Sheriff: Huntington man fired shotgun at son's car during argument

HUNTINGTON, TX (KTRE) -

Angelina County Sheriff's deputies arrested a 61-year-old Huntington man for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after he allegedly fired a couple of rounds from a double-barreled shotgun at his son's vehicle.

Jerry Wayne Green Sr. is still being held in the Angelina County Jail on a felony charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. His bond has been set at $20,000.

According to Angelina County Sheriff Greg Sanches, Green and his allegedly got into a heated argument about a truck after the younger man came to Green's house in Huntington to use the phone. At one point, Green allegedly pointed a double-barreled shotgun at his son and fired a couple of shots at the younger man's vehicle.
