PHOENIX (CBS5) -

Phoenix police said foul play is not suspected after a decomposed body was found and pulled from a Central Arizona Project canal in Phoenix on Feb. 17.

Officer James Holmes said the body was identified as a 43-year-old man and that a medical examiner's report show no signs of foul play. The body was not identified.

A person called police  to report something that "looked unusual in the canal," Phoenix police Lt. Stan Hoover said.

Divers suited up and entered the canal around 10 a.m.

Hoover said the fully-clothed body had been in the canal "for quite a while."
