CENTER, TX (KTRE) -

A Shelby County grand jury has indicted a Center woman accused in the beating death of her five-month-old baby.

Shakeitha Cartwright, 29, is charged with capital murder. The grand jury handed down the indictment on Feb. 14.

According to a Center Police press release, officers responded to a house at 1207 Shelbyville St. on Jan. 16., in reference to an unresponsive child. EMS arrived and took her to a Center hospital. A justice of the peace pronounced Keilly Hoyt dead at 10:15 a.m.

Police later arrested Cartwright on the murder charge.

Cartwright is scheduled for arraignment on March 12.

Autopsy results for Keilly are pending at the medical examiner's office in Dallas.
