NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) -
Detectives
with the Nacogdoches Sheriff's Office arrested a 24-year-old Lufkin man for
allegedly stealing a white 1997 Chevrolet pick-up from a home in the 5500 block
of U.S. 59 South on Feb. 7.
Logan
Chase Weeks was booked into the Nacogdoches County Jail on Wednesday, and he
was released two hours later after he posted a bail of $2,500. He was charged
with theft between $1,500 and $20,000, which is a state-jail felony.
Chief
Deputy Stephen Godfrey of the Nacogdoches Sheriff's Office said investigators
with his office are still investigating Weeks to see if he has been involved in
any other thefts.
NCSO
officers were dispatched to the home on Highway 59 in response to a 911 call
about a stolen vehicle. While they were interviewing the man, they learned that
his property was monitored by a surveillance camera. Godfrey said they were
able to get a clear image of the man that they turned into a wanted poster.
NCSO
detectives picked Weeks at his Lufkin residence Wednesday on a theft warrant
and transported him to the Nacogdoches County Jail.
