NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - A former Lon Morris College president who saw the school dive into financial troubles under his leadership has accepted a position with Commercial Bank of Texas.
As executive vice president, Dr. Miles McCall will be responsible for the communications and marketing divisions in each Texas market, according to the bank's press release.
McCall served as president of Lon Morris College in Jacksonville from 2005 to 2012. The college went into bankruptcy in the summer of 2012 and put almost all of its staff on furlough.
McCall is a graduate of SFA and served as a professor and vice president at SFA for more than 20 years.
