SAN LUIS, AZ (CBS5) -

A California homicide suspect featured twice in the TV show America's Most Wanted was arrested Tuesday in Arizona.

Raul Sandoval, 26, of Salinas, was apprehended as he attempted to enter the U.S. though a pedestrian crossing at the Port of San Luis, Customs and Border Protection officers said.

Officers referred Sandoval for additional inspection when he attempted to pass through. He was later taken into custody after a routine record check disclosed the 2004 homicide warrant.

Officers confirmed the warrant through the Monterey Sheriff's Office. The San Luis police took custody of Sandoval.
