Grand jury indicts Garrison man over cat-choking death

NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) -

A Nacogdoches County grand jury has indicted a Garrison man accused of choking a cat to death in January.

According to the indictment, James Kirby Northcott II, choked the cat to death without the owner's permission on Jan. 20.

Northcott is charged with state-jail felony cruelty to non-livestock animals.
