TRINITY COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

After receiving numerous reports of theft and vehicle burglaries in subdivisions in the FM 346 and Camp Cullen area, a stakeout by the Trinity County Sheriff's Office and the Trinity Police Department resulted in the arrest of a 25-year-old Conroe man.

Bryce Edward Turner was arrested at the scene for theft between $1,500 and $20,000, which is a state-jail felony. He was transported to the Houston County Jail.

Trinity County law enforcement officials joined forces for the stakeout. They hid in the woods near Camp Cullen and allegedly spotted Turner stealing batteries from heavy equipment and vehicles located at the camp. Stolen property valued at approximately $1,700 was recovered at the scene.
