EverLast® Lighting Lowers Energy Consumption, Improves Aesthetics and Security at Fitness Centers
JACKSON, Mich., March 5, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Planet Fitness Inc., based in Newington, New Hampshire, is an American franchise consisting of 500 fitness centers across the United States. Each center features exercise equipment, and personal trainers for the members benefit. In addition, the brand markets itself as a "Judgement Free Zone" to enhance member experience. Over the past year, the national fitness franchise identified a need for a massive lighting overhaul at several of the U.S. locations. In an effort to increase energy efficiency, aesthetics, and security at multiple Planet Fitness locations, the franchise relied on EverLast® and several Lighting Representative Firms to provide lighting solutions that would meet each facility's specification process.
"When we started looking for a commercial lighting solution for the Planet Fitness stores in Indiana and Kentucky, the deciding factors were quick ROI, lifetime warranty, longer lamp life, and lowered maintenance costs," commented Edward Patsey, Representative of John Patsey Sales in Somerset, Kentucky. "The stores that we have completed were exceptionally pleased with the induction lighting solution."
The EverLast® induction lighting fixtures provide a more natural and high color rendition light quality unlike traditional metal halide fixtures. In addition, the fixtures come with a 10 year warranty and are also available with a dimmable option, providing even more energy savings while areas are vacant.
"When Planet Fitness worked with our firm they were very interested in an efficient lighting fixture that would be aesthetically pleasing to their guests. In addition they were looking for an energy efficient option that was comparable to LED, but had a longer lamp life and fewer failure rates," stated Dan Clements, Representative of Applied Lighting Concepts in Jacksonville, Florida. "Applied Lighting Concepts is dedicated to customer satisfaction, and EverLast® met and exceeded all of the guidelines that Planet Fitness required for a lighting upgrade at the Jacksonville, and Miami, Florida locations."
As a result, Planet Fitness, Inc. moved forward on lighting installations with EverLast® fixtures over the span of 2012 at their locations Sterling Heights, Michigan, Bay City, Michigan, Warwick, Rhode Island, Evansville, Indiana, Elizabethtown, Kentucky, Harrisonburg, Virginia, two in Jacksonville, Florida, and Miami, Florida. Each installation included 200 watt Huron Aluminum high bay, 200 watt Houghton Aluminum low bay models from EverLast® product line for building interiors.
"Planet Fitness continues to select EverLast® high bay fixtures for their facility lighting requirements. This is directly tied to performance technology derived by EverLast® U.S. manufacturing delivering higher efficiency per watt when compared to other induction lighting solutions," commented Ryan Miller, Representative of Atlantech.
