PHOENIX (CBS5) -

Phoenix police are looking for a gunman who shot a 19-year-old man in a drug deal that instead turned into a robbery, officers said.

The victim and an 18-year-old man intended to buy an undetermined quantity of marijuana from a third person but decided to rob the seller, police investigators said.

After the robbery, the two teens fled with the stolen marijuana into the neighborhood near 4100 West Angela.

The victim of the robbery chased the men and opened fire. The 19-year-old man suffered a  gunshot wound to his leg. He is expected to be OK.

The shooter fled the scene in a lowered silver truck. Police said the gunman is described as a Hispanic man in his 20s.
