If you have outstanding library fines from the TLL Temple Library in Diboll you've got a chance to make it right.
During the month of March, persons owing fines can clear their fines by donating non-perishable food or toiletry items. For every donation, the library will knock one dollar off your fine.
TLL Temple Library, Circulation Manager, Mary Howell says they unfortunately have a lot of outstanding fines and this is a good opportunity to settle up.
Howell said, "All the materials that are donated like non-perishable foods is donated to the Diboll Christian Outreach so it all goes to charity and it helps the people that have fines."
Howell says even if you don't have a fine they welcome donations. She says around this time of year the food pantry gets low so any donations help.
