An 87-year-old man is recovering after his SUV crashed into the drive through of a Tyler bank.

Tyler police say the driver is still hospitalized and went into surgery Thursday afternoon.

The man crashed into the Citizens 1st Bank in Tyler off of Loop 323 yesterday morning. He is expected to be fine.

At this time, police do not know if the crash was caused by a vehicle malfunction or a medical issue.
