Mansfield woman killed in single-vehicle crash

MANSFIELD, CT (WFSB) -

State police said a Mansfield woman was killed in a single-vehicle car crash Sunday night.

Officials said they were called to Route 32 just north of the intersection with North Eagleville Road around 8:45 p.m.

Police said a car driven by 30-year-old Somer Payne of Mansfield lost control and rolled down an embankment, striking a large tree.

Payne was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation at this time.
