NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - During a traffic stop Sunday evening, the Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Office arrested two Guatemalan nationals and seized 96 grams of cocaine, which has an estimated street value of $4,200.
Joselito Sis Sical, 22 and Oscar Armando Xitumul, 31, are still being held in the Nacogdoches County Jail. Both men were charged with possession of a controlled substance between 4 and 200 grams. No bail has been set for either man, and both men listed Shreveport, La. as their place of residence.
According to a press release from the Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Office, deputies stopped a Ford Explorer on U.S. Highway 59 near Appleby. After the two men allegedly appeared nervous and gave conflicting statements about their trip, the deputies searched the Explorer and found 96 grams of powder cocaine hidden under the SUV's passenger seat.
