Head-on collision in Harrison County leaves two dead

HARRISON COUNTY, TX (KLTV) -

A fiery accident on Loop 281 just north of Interstate 20 in Harrison County has left two people dead after a car traveling the wrong way hit another vehicle head-on. At least one of the cars then burst into flames.

The Department of Public Safety could not confirm the extent of the crash or the number of fatalities, however DPS troopers are on the scene investigating.

An autopsy has been ordered for one of the deceased. No names have been released and there are no other injuries reported. 

According to the Harrison County sheriff, traffic in the area is not being affected.
