LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) -
A new feature will soon be
coming to the Kurth Memorial Library in Lufkin.
The library will soon
start to offer e-books. They will be available for a seven day rental on smart
phones, tablets and computers.
Not every title in the
current library catalog will be available in e- book form.
The library is adding the
new e-books in hopes that it will offer more to people with the newest
technology devices.
"We already have a
lot of other formats that we offer books in. This is just one more format that
has come out and a lot of people are asking for it. So we wanted people to have
this additional format for getting books," said Library Director, Lorraine
Simoneau.
You will have to have a
valid membership card with no outstanding fines in order to get the new
material.
The library will
officially start checking out the material on March 25.
