After a
traffic stop, a Texas Department of Public Safety trooper arrested a
38-year-old Lufkin woman for allegedly driving drink with a 3-year-old boy in
the car with her Thursday night.
Tracy
Funderburk is still being held in the Angelina County Jail on a state-jail
felony charge of driving while intoxicated with a child under the age of 15 in
the car. No bail has been set at this time.
According
to Trooper David Hendry, a spokesman for the DPS, Funderburk's 2006 Nissan
Altima was pulled over on FM 1336 for traffic violations. When the trooper made
contact with Funderburk, he noticed signs that she may be intoxicated.
After the
trooper conducted a partial field sobriety test on Funderburk, he arrested her
and charged with DWI with a child under the age of 15. The 3-year-old boy was
released into the custody of a family member.
The
trooper transported Funderburk to a Lufkin hospital to have a blood sample
drawn before he took her to the Angelina County Jail.
