NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) -

Acting on a tip that methamphetamine was being transported into the county, Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Office deputies seized more than 8 grams of crystal meth and arrested two men and a women for felony possession of a controlled substance late Thursday night.

Brian Neill Prosise, 39, Adam Shuttlesworth, 50, and Patricia Worsham, 34, all of Nacogdoches, are still being held in the Nacogdoches County Jail. Each of the three suspects was charged with possession of a controlled substance between 4 and 200 grams, which is a second-degree felony. Prosise's bail was set at $15,000, and Shuttleworth's was set at $10,000.  No bail had been set for Worsham as of 5 p.m. Friday.

In a press release, Nacogdoches County Sheriff Jason Bridges said that arrest was the result of an ongoing narcotics investigation. NCSO deputies stopped a Chevrolet Cavalier on US. Highway 59 South at about 10 p.m. and got permission to search the vehicle, which led to the alleged discovery of more than 8 grams of crystal methamphetamine.

All three suspects were arrested at the scene without incident and transported to the Nacogdoches County Jail.

The press release stated that the NCSO is in the process of investigating where the meth was originally purchased before the suspects allegedly tried to transport it Nacogdoches County.
