First of its kind Angry Birds Space Encounter opens at NASA's Kennedy Space Center. (Source: CNN)(CNN) - The popular app, Angry Birds, already has a space game but now it's gone legit with NASA.
Cheering kids welcomed the new Angry Birds Space Encounter to the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex.
The Complex partnered with the game's creator, Rovio Entertainment, to bring the characters to life.
There are six interactive stations as the birds follow their kidnapped eggs into an intergalactic wormhole and face off against space pigs.
Visitors can even create their own Angry Bird and print it out as a keepsake.
They can also square off against other guests by launching mini birds through slingshots.
The exhibit comes ahead of the complex's grand opening in June when visitors could see the Space Shuttle Atlantis in its new home.
