New author speaks out on taboo topics in ‘I’m Christian Too!’ and asks this pressing question “Are you really Christian or really deceived?”
Des Moines, Iowa (PRWEB) March 22, 2013
Author Kiko McGregor has just published I’m Christian Too!, a book that looks into what she believes to be the real message behind prominent spiritual leaders and that treats no topics as off limits.
The book explains why biblical Christians should question the teachings of celebrities and new-age spiritual leaders such as Eckhart Tolle, Marianne Williamson, Joel Osteen, Deepak Chopra, Oprah Winfrey and Pastor Rick Warren. McGregor takes a controversial look at some of these teachings. The book includes chapters on Hell, homosexuality and near-death experiences.
McGregor’s main concern is the trend towards merging different religions - Christianity, Islam, Buddhism and Hinduism - which she sees as being supported by new-age spiritual leaders.
“Why can’t we all just believe what we believe and stay in our own lane? Why do I have to like what you like, just because you like it and love what you love, just because you love it?” asks McGregor. “Why are the majority of mega-church pastors, talk-show hosts, and new-age celebrity speakers, preaching and teaching ecumenicalism? Why can’t we stick to our own belief systems and let other people stick to theirs?”
McGregor posits that celebrity spiritual leaders are only motivated by power and money and that biblical Christians have an obligation to unite and redefine the ‘Christian’ in Christianity. Her book explores and answers many questions that Christians have regarding the teachings of new-age spiritual leaders and suggests that Christians should ask themselves the simple question – “Is this teaching something that Jesus would be proud for me to follow?”
“True biblical Christians, can you please stand up?” asks McGregor. “Two new-age religions, ‘Chrislam’ and ‘Christism’, are taking over the world.”
