Valley companies hiring at local job fair Monday

PHOENIX (CBS5) -

If you are looking for a job, head to the Phoenix Airport Marriott, 1101 N. 44th St. in Phoenix, today from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for a chance to meet with dozens of employers who are currently hiring.

The National Career Fair will have companies looking to hire like Waste Management, Stanley Steemer, Arizona Department of Corrections, Aaron's and many others.

The career fair will also have a local expert on hand to give free professional resume advice.

Job seekers heading to the career fair will have an opportunity to network, submit their resumes and connect directly with hiring managers. Job seekers should arrive dressed professionally and have multiple copies of their resumes to hand out.

    More than a few tar-covered tires are hanging on to the parking lot of a Lufkin tire shop.  On August 31, newly laid asphalt on Loop 287 started sticking to tires of those driving, leaving many of the cars un-driveable. As of Friday, the Texas Department of Transportation hadn't come out with an official cause for the incident, but that hasn't stopped over 600 people from filing claims with them.
