LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - Officers with the Hudson Police Department arrested a 44-year-old Lufkin woman Saturday for driving drunk two days after she was arrested on another DWI charge. During the initial arrest by the Pct. 1 Constable, her husband was also arrested for possession of cocaine.
"She was released on March 21 and arrested again on March 23," Pct. 1 Constable Tom Selman said in an e-mail message. "Her husband had cocaine on him when I stopped them, so both he and she went to jail."
Georgia Ann Hegmann is still being held in the Angelina County Jail on a charge of DWI with an open container of alcohol in the vehicle. Her bail has been set at $1,500. Her husband - Jacob Albert Hegmann, 60, of Lufkin - is being held on a state-jail felony charge of possession of a controlled substance less than one gram, and his bail has been set at $2,000.
