Pedestrian killed crossing Tempe street

TEMPE, AZ (CBS5) -

A man crossing a Tempe street mid-block was struck and killed by a passing motorist Thursday night, police said.

The accident happened shortly past 8:30 p.m. in the 1400 block of E. Apache.

Police said the driver of the car told officers he didn't see the pedestrian.

The name of the victim has not yet been released.
