LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - The Family Crisis Center of East Texas in Lufkin had their annual Eggstravaganza earlier today and had over 2,000 Easter eggs set out for kids to hunt.
The center had about 100 participants in the even today and the executive director for the organization said most of the kids who came have never hunted eggs before for Easter.
"Today is one of the most rewarding days of my job here. Getting to see all the smiling faces of all the children come in and they get to hunt Easter eggs and get their picture made and win prizes at our games and eat a hot dog. It's just very fulfilling to see that," said Heather Kartye.
The Eggstravaganza also had a moon bounce, football toss, duck pond, wheelbarrow race and other festivities for the kids and their families.
