TRINITY, TX (KTRE) -

The Trinity Police Department is seeking the public's help in finding the suspects who stole six Arctic Cat 4-wheelers from Walker Auto Sales late Tuesday night.

According to Trinity Police Chief Steven Jones, a group of suspects broke the lock on the gate sometime Tuesday, and backed a truck and trailer up to the opening.

The thieves entered the property from the rear and used the large shipping crates to hide their activity as they loaded the Arctic Cats onto a trailer, Jones said. He said that Trinity Police officers managed to get some good tire impressions from the mud because the thefts occurred during Tuesday's rain storm.

Jones said his officers are going to see if they can get a description of the truck and trailer from business surveillance cameras in the general area of Walker Auto Sales.

Sgt. Randy Wheeler said the stolen Arctic Cat four-wheelers have a total value of $62,420. The stolen ATVs included five 2009 models that have never been driven or used and one brand new 2013 model.

Anyone with any information that could help solve the crime should call the Trinity Police Department at (936) 642-2505. Someone with information can also call the Trinity County Crime Stoppers hot line at (936) 642-2334 or leave a tip online at www.trinitycountycrimestoppers.com.
