NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) -

A Nacogdoches Police officer arrested a 32-year-old man for possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana after a traffic stop in the 300 block of E. Main Street Friday morning.

Cedric Jerome McClelland, of Nacogdoches, is still being in jail on a second-degree felony charge of possession of a controlled substance between 4 and 200 grams and a Class B misdemeanor charge of possession of marijuana under 2 ounces charge. No bail has been set at this time.

After making the traffic stop, the Nacogdoches Police officer found that the driver of the vehicle had a suspended license. The driver, who had a previous driving with license invalid suspension, was also arrested and taken to the Nacogdoches County Jail.

A search of McClelland allegedly revealed that he was in possession of less than 2 ounces of marijuana and an undisclosed controlled substance.
