Police: Longview barber shot during robbery

LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) - On April 4 at 7:58 p.m., Police were dispatched to a shooting in the 2000 block of South High Street. When officers arrived, the victim told them he was locking up his barber shop when the suspect pulled up in a maroon Toyota or Mazda 4 door 90's model car.

The suspect, a black male dressed in a ski mask, tan jacket with a hood, and blue jeans ran up to him, produced a handgun, and demanded money. The suspect then shot the victim one time and pointed the handgun at him again, while continuing to demand the money. The victim stated he threw down his money, the suspect picked it up and fled the scene.

The victim was transported to Good Shepherd Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries.
