A new solar power plant launched in Mesa that will be used to power some of ASU's campus.
SRP and SunPower Corporation dedicated a 1 megawatt power plant at ASU's Polytechnic campus.
It's the first commercial deployment of a tracking system that concentrates the sun's power seven times over.
ASU is purchasing the power produced at the plant from SRP for the use at its polytechnic campus.
