Jasper couple killed in Corrigan motorcycle-car accident

CORRIGAN, TX (KTRE) - A Jasper couple was killed in a motorcycle-car accident Highway 287 in Corrigan Sunday afternoon.

According to the preliminary accident report from the Corrigan Police Department, the accident occurred at 4:33 p.m. Sunday. Darrell Raabe, 51, was driving a motorcycle east on Highway 287 through Corrigan. His wife, Rebecca Raabe, 56, was a passenger on the motorcycle.

A 2008 Ford Edge driven by Janasia McCloud, 19, of Corrigan, was turning left onto Highway 287 when the motorcycle struck the vehicle on its left front end.

Darrell Raabe was transported to Woodland Heights Medical Center, and Rebecca Raabe was taken to Memorial Hospital. Both of them were pronounced dead between 5:30 and 6 p.m.

McCloud and her two daughters, who were in the car with her, were not injured in the accident, according to a press release from the Corrigan Police Department. No charges have been filed at this time.
