CLEVELAND (Toledo News Now) -

An Ohio man is facing felonious charges after Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers found marijuana in his vehicle Tuesday morning, worth an estimated $23,000.

Troopers stopped a 1999 Dodge Avenger for a registration violation on Interstate 71 near milepost 244 in Cleveland at 11:07 a.m. The driver was found to be driving under suspension.

An administrative inventory of the vehicle revealed a cardboard box containing 5 pounds of marijuana, worth $23,000.

The driver, Paul Arscott, 45, of Warrensville Heights, OH, was incarcerated in the Cuyahoga County Jail. He has been charged with possession and trafficking in marijuana, which are third-degree felonies.
