Lufkin man robbed of cell phone, wallet at gunpoint

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - Detectives with the Lufkin Police Department are investigating an armed robbery that took place in the 400 block of Cunningham Drive late Wednesday night.

According to Cp. Brad Davis of the Lufkin Police Department, the armed robbery took place at 11:01 p.m. Wednesday night at a residence in the Englewood subdivision. The victim told police that he went outside to get something from his truck, and a black man dressed all in black "stuck a pistol" in his face and demanded he hand over everything in his pockets.

The victim told police that the suspect took his wallet, which contained an undisclosed amount of cash, and a Samsung Galaxy cell phone and ran off on foot.

Davis said the Lufkin Police Department doesn't have any suspects at this time.
