Aries horoscope says he's going to find a new family soon

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - He's a little shy sometimes but he's got enough love to share with all the other constellations in the Milky Way Galaxy.

Say hi to Aries, a two year old Catahoula mix who was is a bit shy but once he gets to know you, loves to snuggle.

Humane Society Director, Paul Divello,"He was actually a stray that somebody had taken in and her dogs basically bullied him and it just didn't work out."

Divello says Aries needs to be the biggest dog in the house.

"He's very very submissive. He's scared of our Dachshunds and our Chihuahuas if he goes to a home it's going to have to be a home with dogs that aren't bigger or more alpha or more aggressive than him because he kinda acts like bait," said Divello.

Aries is a big dog with a big heart and he absolutely loves to cuddle and snuggle in your lap and sometimes doesn't even realize that he might be a little too big to be a lap dog.

"He doesn't know that he's not a Chihuahua," said Divello. "He has no idea."

Aries is up-to-date on all his shots and he is house broken. He is fully grown but needs to put on a some weight. Divello says he will probably end up weighing around 60 lbs.

Divello recommends Aries be an indoor-outdoor dog, where he can go out and play but gets to hang out and sleep inside.

"He's just a real real sweet puppy," said Divello.

Bigger dogs tend to stay at shelters longer but Aries is hoping that's not the case for him.

Each week on BFF we feature a pet in need of a loving home and family but there are many pets at the Humane Society that are also in need of a home.
