LEBANON, CT (WFSB) -

A senior at Lyman Memorial High School in Lebanon is helping feed starving children in Haiti.

Now, she is asking for the public's help and all you have to do is go out to breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Lauren Finger contacted Eyewitness News and told her favorite meteorologist, Scot Haney, to tell him about her senior project, which is called "Spreading Awareness for Haiti."

The Haitian Health Foundation where she is a volunteer sent Finger and her dad, along with other volunteers to Haiti in September to provide humanitarian aid.

Now, Finger is helping again and is holding a fundraising event called "Hot Meals for Children" at the Ruby Tuesday in Libson.

Through the restaurant's "Giving Back Program," 20 percent of the money from their bill will go to the Haitian Health Foundation in Norwich when customers show their servers the following flyer.
