Sharing the credit

Two Angelina County men aren't quick to take credit in possibly saving the life of a man who crashed his plane in the Burke property Sunday night. While they can't agree on who helped him out of the wreckage, they do explain what happened and Caleb Beames has the report at 6.

A high school student says she had her prize-winning pig all ready for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. But a fire left her dreams up in smoke. Tonight at 6, Michelle Reed explains how the community is coming together to help this young lady get a new pig to show next year.

Most CPAs are scrambling to meet tonight's midnight deadline to file taxes for some of their clients, but we found an accounting firm in Lufkin that has a long-standing tradition of closing the office at noon. Accountants go to lunch and treat themselves to pedicures and massages. It's not all play. Find out how these hardworking accountants can afford to take some much deserved R&R on one of the most important days in their field. Donna McCollum has that story at 6.

The Community Food Drive in Lufkin is special to some because of the large amount of people it brings together from all walks of life.  "It's just like so many different people, very diverse," said volunteer, Priscilla Gonzalez. "It's just kind of cool to see all these people coming together to do one thing."
