The Farmington Police Department is investigating a jewelry theft from West Farms Mall Sunday.
Police said just after 3 p.m., a man stole around $10,000 worth of jewelry from the Fine Jewelry Department at Nordstrom at the mall. Police said the man leaned over the counter, opened the jewelry case door, removed the jewelry and concealed it under his jacket
The man was described as a black male between 40 and 50 years old with medium height and build.
He was wearing glasses, a brown beret, black leather jacket, a white and brown horizontally striped polo-style shirt and tan dress slacks.
Anyone with information about the theft should call Farmington police.
