Livingston man charged with intoxicated manslaughter

LIVINGSTON, TX (KTRE) -

According to Investigator Marty Drake with the Livingston police Department, one person is dead after a vehicle he was riding in rolled over.

The accident occurred late Friday night on Old Israel Road in Livingston. Fransisco Caceres, a 31 year-old from Livingston, was driving a Ford Ranger pickup truck  west bound when he overcorrected, causing the vehicle to flip.

While the vehicle was rolling over, 41 year-old Daniel Diaz, Sr. of Livingston, was ejected from the truck. Diaz was pronounced dead on the scene.

Another passenger in the vehicle was transported to Livingston Memorial Hospital, and later flown to Memorial Herman Hospital in Houston. The condition of the passenger is unknown right now.

Caceres has been charged with intoxicated manslaughter and is being held in the Polk County Jail on a $75,000 bond.
