NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - After Nacogdoches Police officers responded to a disturbance at an apartment complex in the 4500 block of North University, they arrested the 35-year-old assault victim on a drug charge late Tuesday night.
Timonthy Terrill Watts, 35, is still being held in the Nacogdoches County Jail on a first-degree felony charge of manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance between 4 and 200 grams. No bond has been set at this time.
When the officers arrived on scene at Sunridge Apartments around 10:36 p.m. Tuesday, Watts told them that he had been assaulted by an unknown suspect or suspects with an unknown weapon. During the investigation, the NPD officers determined that Watts was the owner of a "large amount of a controlled substance" believed to be cocaine found just outside of the suspect's apartment.
The investigation is still ongoing at this point, according to Sgt. Greg Sowell, a spokesman for the Nacogdoches Police Department.
