Laid back pooch who loves to relax and watch TV

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) -

He's your typical dog. Loves to run and play but finds a seat on the couch the most comfortable.

He's a laid back, 3-year-old, white and brown Catahoola mix.

Meet Weston.

Kurth Memorial Animal Shelter Director, Aaron Ramsey said, "He's been with us a long time. He spent some time in foster care. He's just an awesome dog."

"Weston was a stray and he came in and he was fostered out for a while and then they brought him back and we're looking for a home for them," said Ramsey.

Staff at Kurth Memorial thinks Weston was someone's pet before he was a stray. They say he is well-behaved, potty trained and gets along well with other animals and people

"He likes to spend some time watching TV and hanging on the couch but he also likes to get out an play," said Ramsey.

Staff says many people have come to look at Weston but no one has adopted him yet but it's just a matter of time for this loveable guy.

Ramsey said, "He needs a family that's going to spend a lot of time with him. They're going to take him out, exercise him and he just needs somebody a place where he can relax and hangout when he's not out running in the backyard."

To find out how you can adopt our furry friend Weston, call Kurth Memorial Animal Shelter at 936-633-0218.

Animal shelters often see many Catahoola mix breed dogs come through their doors and staff says they are great dogs to have.

Each Thursday we will highlight a new adoptable animal in need of a loving family only on KTRE.
