Woodville native Kree Harrison survives American Idol 'surprise twist'

Posted: Updated:
LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) -

After receiving criticism during Wednesday night's episode for her poor song choices and stage presence, Woodville native Kree Harrison still managed to make it to the top two in Thursday's elimination episode.

She was joined by fellow contestant Angie Miller, while Candice Glover and Amber Holcomb were booted to the bottom two.

However, host Ryan Seacrest surprised us all when he announced there would be no eliminations and all four contestants were safe for another week.

That means Harrison will be returning home to Woodville next week for the "hometown visit."

Votes from this week and next week will be combined to determine who will be kicked off the show during next week's elimination round.

There will also be a full week added to the schedule, before the winner is crowned in the season finale episode in May.
