Truck driver found dead at Lufkin Love's

Posted: Updated:

An autopsy has been ordered after a truck driver was found dead at the Love's convenience stop in Lufkin Monday morning.

Sgt. Mike Shurley said employees at the store checked the truck after his trucking company called and asked if the truck was at the store.

Shurley said the man, who was in his upper 30s and from Florida, was found dead in the sleeper.

Shurley said he had health issues, but could not get specific about what those health were. He said police had no reason to believe foul play was involved.

Justice of the Peace Bill Ball has ordered an autopsy.

His identity has not yet been released.
