Hudson baseball used bye week to improve

HUDSON, TX (KTRE) - After back to back short playoff runs, the 7th ranked Hudson baseball team is hoping to stick around in this years post-season. The district champion Hornets were eliminated in the 3rd round of the playoffs two years ago, and only made it to the area round last season. A couple of disappointing playoff exits can fuel a team, and that's the case for the Hornets.

Hudson, who earned a 1st round bye, has used the extra week to its advantage, working on hitting and base running. Head Coach Glenn Kimble's team didn't end the regular season like it wanted to with a few defeats, but the practice time has been beneficial.
