Nacogdoches man gets 12 months in prison for DWI with a child

NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) -

Judge Ed Klein sentenced at 42-year-old Nacogdoches man to 12 months in state prison Thursday for driving drunk with children under the age of 15 in the car in December 2012.

Horace Glenn Taylor, of Nacogdoches, appeared in the Nacogdoches County's 420th Judicial District Court for a sentencing hearing for the state-jail felony charge.

According to the police report, a Nacogdoches Police officer made a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Taylor at approximately 1:36 on Dec. 5, 2012. The children were in the vehicle when Taylor was pulled over.

After Taylor failed a field sobriety test, he was arrested at the scene and transported to the Nacogdoches County Jail.

No further information was available on the children's ages.
